We have been called to serve for 23 months in the Lima, Peru area office under the direction of the Area Presidency. We will work in the Church office 9-5 every day as church auditors. We will be responsible for training and supervising 35 assistant auditors who, in turn, train the stake auditors. Joe and I will attend an auditing training session February 5 and 6 in Salt Lake and then report to the MTC in Provo for one week beginning February 9.
Lima is in central Peru right on the Pacific coast. The climate is much the same as San Francisco with mild temperatures and winters of fog and mist. We will enjoy walks along the sandy beach and visits to the park and upscale mall. There are also concerts, art in the park and other cultural events in the city.
